About - A technology company for the businesses technology skipped.

BigTB builds enterprise-grade software and AI-native products for small and mid-sized businesses — the outcome a much larger budget would have bought, delivered to people who were never supposed to be able to afford it.

Why we exist

The technology industry quietly skipped most businesses. We exist to un-skip them.

For most of the last two decades, genuinely custom software was a privilege of scale. If you were a Fortune 500, you got bespoke systems, real engineering, and the operating leverage that comes with them. If you were a small or mid-sized business — the kind that makes up most of the economy — you got off-the-shelf tools that almost fit, and a quote you couldn’t justify for anything better.

BigTB — Big Technology Builders — was started to close that gap. Not by doing cheap work, but by being relentless about leverage: building on what already exists, charging only for what’s genuinely yours, and delivering the outcome a much larger budget would have bought.

Six years, two leaps - We’ve closed the same gap twice.

The mission hasn’t changed. The leverage we use to deliver it has — and each leap let us reach further down-market than the last.

The open-source decade

Semi-custom systems at a tenth of the cost.

We got very good at assembling mature open-source components into solutions that were custom where it mattered and reused everywhere it didn’t — and at knowing which tenth was worth building by hand.

The AI-native era

Further than before, on smaller budgets.

AI moved the line again — but only for those who already know how to build. We now carry judgment-heavy work that used to require a specialist for every instance, inside guardrails strong enough to trust.

Who we serve, and how - Small and mid-sized businesses that have more value than they can reach.

Often in sensitive, regulated, or unglamorous categories — the businesses the software industry tends to overlook. Our posture is the same across all of them.

  • Outcomes, not deliverables. We’re paid to change what your business can do — not to ship a quantity of software. Sometimes the right outcome is telling you an idea won’t pay off before you fund it.
  • Augment, don’t replace. The systems you already run on are usually your most valuable asset. We build alongside them, preserve what works, and remove the friction around it.
  • Compose before you build. The most expensive line of code is the one written when a proven component or a well-aimed model call would have done it. We build only the part that’s genuinely yours.
  • Quiet release. Your customers shouldn’t notice the engineering. They should notice that the work that used to be hard isn’t anymore.
